As a species, "humans" have a great deal of variations for abilities, do they not? Witnessing only Luceti, the range is quite... fascinating. Do you imagine these differences come with changes to their DNA structure, or learned abilities which don't matter terribly much to their genetic code? [Inhale] Thus far, the evidence I've collected [the samples he examined of Adele's] seems to point to the former. Though my sampling pool has been... limited. Thus far.

But yeah, glowy stuff, cryas artes and all that jazz. They're the things that let you lay the smackdown on monsters before they can even work out 'hey is that a giant blast of wind heading straight for me or- WAH'! Like that.

Anyhoo, why do ya' want to know all this stuff? The biological DNA whatevers aren't really my thing, that's more my Sis and her crazy awesome monster's department, but tell me anyway!

Curiosity. Much of the enclosure is made up of species I am entirely unfamiliar with and as such... study of them is quite intriguing.

However, if that isn't your specialty- what, per se, is?

I'm kinda more of a techno-engineer type, you know the wibbly wobbly clunk-ka-clunk sorta person. Machines are just the super easiest things to understand, I've fixed whole valkines cryas before. [...] Those are like big, eleth filled... You know what? They're full of power-upy type things.

Being an engineer who works in the materials, you can therefore explain to me what "cryas" is. And "eleth."

On the contrary, I don't believe we've touched on much at all. And if we are to be, ah, "buddies" in a scientific capacity I would prefer for you to demonstrate some level of skill in the field to me.

We haven't touched on anything, we're talking through books! Unless you want to say if we touch the journals at the same time we're indirectly touching.

Alrighty, so, I don't know what you want know for becaaause I haven't seen any cryas around here, but basically cryas are these little crystal doohickeys that have eleth inside of them, like a type of energy. You can harness the eleth in cryas to power all sorts of awesome stuff! You've just gotta be careful what kind of cryas and eleth you're messin' with.

Okay, so, different types of cryas and eleth and all that. There's wind and water eleth which are pretty tame and useful. The water eleth in the air back home could keep you cool and hydrated y'know! Fire eleth is a whole other can of beans though. It's super easy to set off this huge chain reaction when extracting fire eleth from cryas, if you're not doing it right then BOOM. And not just a little boom, entire cities can be wiped out with the wrong moves.

[But the water couldn't cause flooding or some other chain reaction? He nods though, considering this and makes a noise for her to go on]

That's kinda it actually. Before I got whooshed away here I was working super hard on increasing the output of this one valkines cryas before Fourier gave me the idea to just use the valkines to heat water and send that water to people's homes using pipes and stuff.

[But that has little to do with eleth and cryas so maybe she won't go into that... Oh, but valkines cryas are probably related to cryas? Yeah, yeah they are, she'll quickly cover those too.]

Valkines cryas are these huge banana shaped things that have lots and lots of eleth inside of 'em! There are three of them all over Ephinea and they help all the different countries get along in their own way.
