As a species, "humans" have a great deal of variations for abilities, do they not? Witnessing only Luceti, the range is quite... fascinating. Do you imagine these differences come with changes to their DNA structure, or learned abilities which don't matter terribly much to their genetic code? [Inhale] Thus far, the evidence I've collected [the samples he examined of Adele's] seems to point to the former. Though my sampling pool has been... limited. Thus far.

Perhaps I am simply seeking kindred spirits. Are any of you from a reality where space travel is a realized and daily face of your existence?

[and there is sounds of someone... welding. Scorpius is using a blowtorch to fix some of the metal connections of pipes and such on what looks looks like some machine gun looking things outside the edges of the den's entrance. Not that he can, well, get them to power up well here. Insufficient parts.

Okay, so, different types of cryas and eleth and all that. There's wind and water eleth which are pretty tame and useful. The water eleth in the air back home could keep you cool and hydrated y'know! Fire eleth is a whole other can of beans though. It's super easy to set off this huge chain reaction when extracting fire eleth from cryas, if you're not doing it right then BOOM. And not just a little boom, entire cities can be wiped out with the wrong moves.

[The sounds are hard to miss in the surrounding quiet. As she comes to a stop in front of the den, she catches sight of the unmistakably familiar figure wielding the blowtorch. You don't just forget a face like that.

So. Yeah. This is now awkward.]

[Have some appropriate speed here that indicates they can travel to other solar systems within hours or something. Not quite Star Trek speed, but good enough to get around their quadrant of space.]

Two or three syringes worth, for redundancy. Not very much at all.

[But the water couldn't cause flooding or some other chain reaction? He nods though, considering this and makes a noise for her to go on]

Scorpius. And yes, Mr. Skywalker, I am. [A beat] Though, I wouldn't even consider humans to be anywhere approaching, ah, "dominant" - for the most part, the humans I am familiar with have not even mastered travel out of the system their homeworld rests in and that system is very fare indeed from the segment of the galaxy with which I am most familiar. In fact, even with out most powerful engines, it would still take over sixty cycles to travel to the human homeworld.

[..Huh. so as fast or faster than Peacekeeper ships. He's impressed in spite of himself and nods.]

Fascinating. No... the humans I am familiar with were in no way capable of such feats. Nor were they ever invaded by their neighbors, to my knowledge.

[Well as it's a blowtorch he has on goggles over the suit. But he hears Misato before he sees her. And when he sees her... he lowers the head on the torch to put it out before lifting his head and taking off the goggles. It's all he can do to not Scarran it up with a growl, and instead offer a polite smile]

Truly? Is the human homeworld Earth in your galaxy as well? I've met many other humans from different variations of that world.

[He pauses before asking his next question, giving Scorpius time to answer]

And...sixty cycles? Has your world not yet discovered Hyperspace? One can cross my galaxy in a matter of days. Though it seems, perhaps, that my galaxy is unique in possessing such technology.

It's good to see you understand where I'm coming from. I also like to think I'm simply getting ahead of the competition. Space travel may be uncommon where I come from, but technology advances. By my predictions, space travel will be commonplace in just a decade or two, perhaps less!

I cannot be sure what you mean by hyperspace but a galaxy - at least the one I know - is not so easily crossed. [Without wormholes uwoooh]

The works of geniuses only go so far, after all - the masses will copy or emulate and eventually, our work will become the basis of a new set of advancement. Or. Such is my experience.

That's where the alternate universes thing comes in, right?

Hyperspace is a layer of subspace, a mirrored reality by my understanding, not unlike Luceti in a sense. Starships jump through using a specialized hyperdrive and travel through it at thousands of times the speed of light.

[Its actually millions, but Luke's no hyperspace scientist]

I can't just extract them in front of you?

It's been interesting. Never though I'd get to travel like I do.

Darkness is... well, it's a part of just about everyone's heart. Usually it's linked to negative emotions. Anger, hate, greed. It can make you stronger, but dive too deep into it, and you can lose yourself in the process.

[Well you don't forget a body like that either. ~~Wait, not like that...~~ She returns with a grin, because they're acquaintances and absolutely nothing happened. It's forced.] Having fun out here?

That's kinda it actually. Before I got whooshed away here I was working super hard on increasing the output of this one valkines cryas before Fourier gave me the idea to just use the valkines to heat water and send that water to people's homes using pipes and stuff.

[But that has little to do with eleth and cryas so maybe she won't go into that... Oh, but valkines cryas are probably related to cryas? Yeah, yeah they are, she'll quickly cover those too.]

Valkines cryas are these huge banana shaped things that have lots and lots of eleth inside of 'em! There are three of them all over Ephinea and they help all the different countries get along in their own way.
