[so having got back from his mission last week with parts, Scorpius during the time before and during the event had ransacked the Item Shop for electronics. He'd also gotten some out of empty apartments. And... taken them down to one of the New Feather stations. Specifically the one which is labelled aa on this map. So there might be a little workshop and a few not quite finished things there. He's tried not to leave too much behind which can be used or damaged by anyone else other than the incomplete frame of a pulse generator (so no little light in it right now, just the frame) and welding equipment.

Anyway, back in the village now for the first time since then his first stop is the Item Shop to pick up more cooling rods (and he really needs a better system for this), and then the Tea Shop to enjoy some iced tea now that he's back in town. It's there that he delivers the two messages below. But either way, after that Scorpius heads to the Smithy partially to see if there's anything interesting there but mostly to try to secure some new base metals.

And then... at the end of his day, to the Battle Dome. Not to fight, but rather just to observe. He would return right to work (he even has a small pack full of items with which to do so by the end of the day) but he might as well look around for anyone interesting here in both the med center part of it (also to closely examine the technology there) and the viewing area to watch how people fight.

And finally, once all that is over and people are home with nothing better to do and no home to return to... he decides to walk through the woods in the cool night air. First down to the southern lake where he'll meditate and then back to New Feather Watch Station aa to check on his stuff and finally come to sleep outside of it.

Not that he's too short for the cieling ("only" 6') but... well, maybe a bit of politeness and maybe a bit of sighing at how cramped these buildings can field. Three kilometers? That isn't too bad a distance. Though how simple are we talking about here? I want to know the limits.

[He puts the comms by his lips and-]

[The thing starts marching forward instead of twitching around. In a straight line] Left.

[It turns left.] Right. [Right] Up. [And the "head" gyros, where one would stick a camera in, tilt up.] Down. [And down. It never stopped walking that whole top and looks like it's about the walk off the table before] Stop.

[Stops moving And then he hands the comms to Nezumi.]

At its most precise, it should be able to calibrate through trial and error. "Right" and "stop" in rapid succession, for example.

As I said. A simplistic machine.

[He gives a nod and takes the comms. It was well made.]

Correct. And as I told you before, you will need to find your own camera and monitor. I did not have the equipment to construct a set, but... the installation would be quite simple, provided it is not too bulky.

I should be able to find a camera and monitor. I don't think that would be too complicated. [If he assumes right anyway. He looks over everything and nods.] I'll look into it quickly so I may pay my gracious benefactor back as soon as I can.

May our partnership continue to prosper, then. [And he'll offer a gloved hand. To shake. No, really]

[He stares at the hand for a moment. You're giving the person an easy chance to attack you if you shake their hand and Nezumi's learned to never do that. If he had his gloves on, this would be less of a problem. He should keep them on, even when he's in his apartment, but he's grown too lax.

Yet would this man want to hurt him? He wants information so he needs Nezumi unhurt. And he can't stall about this. He takes his hand to shake it.]

[Hesitation noted and the inner turmoil is seen in the man's thermal read. Someone who is used to a hard life, then, to be so imposed by a handshake. It wasn't the fear some people have at his appearance, but a hard and fast habit Nezumi just combated to shake his hand.

Anyway, he shakes it with a firm grip, and then relents, standing]

[He relaxes despite himself when Scorpius doesn't do anything else. A warm smile and he shows him to the door.]
