[so having got back from his mission last week with parts, Scorpius during the time before and during the event had ransacked the Item Shop for electronics. He'd also gotten some out of empty apartments. And... taken them down to one of the New Feather stations. Specifically the one which is labelled aa on this map. So there might be a little workshop and a few not quite finished things there. He's tried not to leave too much behind which can be used or damaged by anyone else other than the incomplete frame of a pulse generator (so no little light in it right now, just the frame) and welding equipment.

Anyway, back in the village now for the first time since then his first stop is the Item Shop to pick up more cooling rods (and he really needs a better system for this), and then the Tea Shop to enjoy some iced tea now that he's back in town. It's there that he delivers the two messages below. But either way, after that Scorpius heads to the Smithy partially to see if there's anything interesting there but mostly to try to secure some new base metals.

And then... at the end of his day, to the Battle Dome. Not to fight, but rather just to observe. He would return right to work (he even has a small pack full of items with which to do so by the end of the day) but he might as well look around for anyone interesting here in both the med center part of it (also to closely examine the technology there) and the viewing area to watch how people fight.

And finally, once all that is over and people are home with nothing better to do and no home to return to... he decides to walk through the woods in the cool night air. First down to the southern lake where he'll meditate and then back to New Feather Watch Station aa to check on his stuff and finally come to sleep outside of it.

...So Luceti, there's a six foot tall bondage creeper around town today you can run into the bolded places or between them. Permissions for his thermal read here]

[Filtered to Yuri Nakamura]

A moment of your time. [She'll do. He would ask Drusilla (but she seems hard to contact) or either of the Doctors, maybe Red, but they don't seem as ostracized or foolhardy]

[Filtered to Nezumi]

I have completed your project.

[...That'll do. The good Doctor will contact him on her own time if she gets the permission needed and discovers anything. It's more of a curiosity there anyway. Something to occupy himself. Unless she had real samples from when she was changed it would be pointless and he's still kicking himself a bit for not collecting any. Too nice. Too safe.

...Bah and it's too warm these days. He should build a cooling room next.]

Can I help you?

[Six foot tall bondage creeper meet doctor in black scrubs and a white lab coat. Law's come around the corner (rather soundlessly at that) and has noticed someone inspecting the equipment.

Huh. Interesting.

Don't think he's seen you in these parts before.]

[Hmmm. Okay. Another one to possibly keep an eye on? Although Sherlock Holmes was probably going to filch surgical supplies for that damned foolish experiment he wanted to try. Somehow he didn't think his scalpels were at risk from this one.]

I have time for a short tour, yes. Are you a doctor or a scientist?

[Well, let's get a feel for this, shall we?]
deathsdoctor: (Pleasant | It's mutually beneficial)

[The military is actually coming through a lot more than the scientist right now, though he can sense both.

... testing the waters... he'll even bring in his newly awakened Haki for this, however getting a read that way was probably going to be hit or miss.]

Aa... what field may I ask? Generally Luceti doesn't offer much on a technological scale, besides what the residents bring with them or earn on missions, and I've never seen anyone being able to build anything of note. This is pretty much the best of it, right here - early twenty first century Earth tech level I've been told - and only useful in the Dome itself. The Malnosso have made sure nothing works outside of here, if you're interested in using the equipment.

[He nods slightly] Unable to build as in nothing too terribly big or powerful was able to be made to function, I mean. [Aka nothing barrier or even community building destroying.] No vehicles for instance. Why that is, I couldn't tell you.

I've seen smaller things done, however. Some weapons, things like that. But nothing too fancy yet.

[Both really in reality, however in Law's case his reference is more an example.]

A status quo I'm sure the Malnosso wish to maintain. They like us dependant and toothless as possible.

Where would you like to begin your tour?

Well, we're in the medical imaging room, so we'll start here. You've already seen [And fondled.] our MRI; we also have in here a scanner that can perform both PET and CAT scans. [Big machines all told. Continuing the general introduction to the equipment pleasantly, indicating each item as he goes:]

There's also two portable X ray machines. [He imagines he might detect a spike of interest at that. ... or a careful non reaction.] You can see them along that wall there. Very useful when we're flooded during draft times or during some of the more unpleasant experiments.

[Not mentioned is how in demand those machines are in regular times. They're used nearly every day. And easy noticed missing.]

[He's forgotten to mention their portable ultrasound unit, but that has been living in the front area that passes as their ER as late. He'll point it out there if things go that way.

Interesting question.]

None of the equipment is terribly new. I'd say everything here is well over a year old.

[More interesting...]

Not quite. There was a service performed by the villagers for the then head of the Malnosso Organization. He wanted a facility maintained by a rogue splinter faction of the Malnosso infiltrated and crushed.

This facility and its equipment was the reward for doing so.

Pretty much, yes. Everything here is courtesy of him.

[The only exclusion was Robert's request for the MRI and PET/CAT scanners they had just seen. And that had happened a long time ago as well - over a year.

And that had been supplied by Bil as well.]

[Comatose bastard is upstairs in a private room. Under guard who is in that same room to avoid suspicion.

Why should he allow you to see him?]

Of the Malnosso? Yes, he was. Even if there was countless strings attached.

The current administration is less so. By a long shot.
