[...Okay so two days in he is by now aware that something is up. He recalls what the good doctor had told him at the New Feather Party and, frankly, he's very interested in the idea of changed memories. Being too pointed in either doubting or disproving would be bunk for a study though. So... right now he's gather testimonies, make a case study.

In Luceti, it seems common for people to ask blatant questions over a public network like this. so. He'll just write this thing. If people resist for whatever reason, oh well. If they go for it, that'll be interesting.

Would any of the people here be willing to tell me about their childhoods? I confess I am curious about how the personal experiences of beings might be different between different realities.

Oh, yeah, I love mom and dad! Family is a great thing to have, there's always someone there for you and you're always there for them in return. [In fact family is so great he'll even add in a smiley face at the end of his writing.]

More? Uh let's see... My dad was into hunting and he knew lots about the forest around the village. Most of the things I learnt about plants and animals I learnt from him! Mom was more of the stay at home type, cooking things, gardening, you know. How's that, good enough?

... Not too sure what I could say for that. Life was pretty simple. I could tell you about when I met Stahn for the first time but I was fifteen by then. Or... the first time I went to Straylize Temple could work too, I was younger then.

Hmm. Straylize Temple it is then. This new priestess showed up called Philia some time ago, she was really polite and kind, what you would expect a priestess to be like. Dad would take me through the forest to the temple now and then just to get me used to the area.

[There's a pause as he takes a moment to think to himself. Those were some wonderful, carefree times back then, before the temple was left in ruins and that bastard Lydon ran off.]

We talked a lot! And sometimes she would come out into the forest with me and we would play games, look at plants, walk together... Not for long though, she always had priestess stuff to do. Teachings and all that. But she was a good friend of mine and my dad's when I was younger.

[When he doesn't get a response right away Caius waits for a moment or two longer just to see if Scorpius wants more info or if that's enough.

One time we ended up playing hide and seek together. I didn't really know the rules so Philia taught me the basics of it, but really I don't think she knew how to play either. She was smart, really smart. Games and stuff weren't really her idea of fun though, she was more of a book person. Come to think of it we probably read something at some point together.

Temple scriptures probably definitely scripture stuff, that's what Philia liked reading a lot of the time, being a priestess. No idea about when. It was before Stahn showed up so around the time I was 14 seems right.

Is there a reason for your memories to be imprecise?

With significant clarity, yes.

Not everyone has that great of a memory, it's not like if a few finer details are missing that it matters.

Nothing else really stands out, it was mostly normal days just hunting, exploring and playing. I could tell you anything about any of those days but if I can't remember the finer points of it should I even bother?

You should not, no. [But the lack of finer points tells him some in general] Though, I would like to hear about any to hear significant memory which stands out.

Meeting Stahn, saving Philia, looking for Leon after he went missing, there's a whole bunch of stuff I could tell you about if we're just talking about important memories. They aren't to do with my childhood though.
